Meet Miss Dottie:
Our 1927 Model T Ford Tap Truck
Hey there, friends!
I’m Meredith, the proud owner and restorer of Sips Mobile Bar’s crown jewel, Miss Dottie. I’m thrilled to share the story of how we found her, brought her back to life, and why she’s the perfect addition to any celebration.
It all started with a late-night scroll through Facebook Marketplace when I stumbled upon an ad for a 1927 Model T Ford truck. Instantly intrigued, I showed the listing to Dave, and we both knew we had to check her out. So, we embarked on a 4-1/2 hour road trip, filled with anticipation and excitement. As soon as we laid eyes on her, we fell in love and decided then and there to bring her home.
Did I mention Miss Dottie started her life as a fire truck? That's right! She used to fight flames and save the day, but she’s since traded her hoses for taps that dispense beer, wine, cocktails, and more. Quite the transformation, wouldn't you say?
The journey to restore Miss Dottie was no small feat. The biggest challenge? Getting her running again! We faced a myriad of mechanical issues, from a stubborn starter button to a tricky Bendix spring and a finicky carburetor. But with each problem, I rolled up my
sleeves, did my research, and dove into the repairs. Along the way, friends and family pitched in, celebrating our victories and offering support through the setbacks. Those moments of camaraderie made the restoration process truly special.
One of my favorite upgrades was adding an elegant cherry wood back to complement Miss Dottie’s vintage charm. It was important to me to enhance her old-world elegance while making her functional as a mobile tap truck. The result? A stunning, one-of-a-kind bar that’s as beautiful as she is practical.
Miss Dottie loves to party, and she’s ready to wow your guests at weddings, corporate events, festivals, or any celebration. She’s more than just a bar—she’s a conversation starter and a fantastic photo opportunity. Her unique presence guarantees to make any event unforgettable.
We can’t wait to share Miss Dottie with you and bring a touch of vintage elegance and fun to your next event. Cheers to new adventures and unforgettable memories!

Tips from Sips:
Choosing the Perfect Signature Cocktail
Hey there, cocktail connoisseurs!
Meredith here from Sips Mobile Bar, back with some delicious tips to help you craft the perfect signature cocktail for your next event. Whether you’re planning a wedding, corporate shindig, or a backyard bash, a signature drink adds that special touch that will have your guests raving. So, let’s dive in and get shaking!
1. Reflect Your Theme and Personality
First things first, your signature cocktail should scream *you*. Are you having a rustic barn wedding? Think whiskey and apple cider. A chic city soirée? Go for a classy martini with a twist. Your drink should be an extension of your event’s vibe and your own personality. If you’re quirky and fun, maybe a vibrant margarita with a pop of color is your go-to. Classic and elegant? A timeless gin and tonic might be your perfect match.
2. Consider Your Guests
While it’s important for the cocktail to reflect you, remember to think about your guests, too. If Aunt Mildred is allergic to pineapple and Cousin Joe can’t stand tequila, you might want to avoid those ingredients. Aim for something crowd-pleasing but unique. A refreshing mojito or a fruity sangria usually does the trick—delicious and universally adored!
3. Seasonal Ingredients for the Win
Take advantage of what’s fresh and in season. Not only will your cocktail taste better, but it will also !
impress your guests with its fresh flavors. Summer wedding? Think berries, citrus, and mint. Winter event? Warm it up with spices, cranberries, or pomegranate. Seasonal ingredients add an extra touch of thoughtfulness and flavor to your drink.
4. Balance is Key
When crafting your cocktail, make sure it’s balanced. You don’t want something too sweet, too strong, or too sour. It’s like a dance—every ingredient should work in harmony with the others. Start with your base spirit, add something sweet, something sour, and maybe a little something fizzy or fresh. Taste as you go, and adjust until you find that perfect balance.
5. Don’t Forget the Garnish
Never underestimate the power of a good garnish. It’s like the cherry on top (sometimes literally). A well-chosen garnish not only makes your drink look fabulous but can also enhance the flavor. Think fresh herbs, citrus twists, or even edible flowers. A sprig of rosemary here, a slice of cucumber there—it’s the little details that make your cocktail stand out.
Creating a signature cocktail is all about having fun and adding a personal touch to your event. So, mix, taste, and enjoy the process. Cheers to making your next event unforgettable!
